From a scissor lift to a 25 foot deckover
Equipment trailers cover a wider range than most categories, and the lineup in Holland reflects that – a 6x12 at 7,000 pounds for a scissor lift or a compact tractor, Sure-Trac tilt beds in the middle, and BND galvanized deckovers out to 8.5 by 25 feet when the load is wider than the fenders allow. Filter by length, deck width or GVWR below, or scroll the full lineup and see what is on the lot today.
Matching the trailer to the machine
Equipment trailers get bought in a hurry more often than any other category, usually because a job starts Monday. Five minutes of thinking about the machine saves buying the wrong deck.
How wide does the deck need to be?
Between the fenders you have roughly 82 inches to work with. That is fine for most skid steers and compact tractors. Go wider – a mini excavator with the tracks out, a scissor lift, anything with a bucket overhanging – and the fenders start deciding the answer for you. A deckover puts the deck above the wheels and gives you the full width, at the cost of a higher load height.
What a tilt bed actually changes
Ramps are fine when you load occasionally. When you load every day, lifting and stowing them twice a trip turns into real time and a sore back. A tilt deck removes that entirely: the deck becomes the ramp. It is also the easier option for low-clearance machines, because the angle stays shallow the whole way up.
Weight comes before length
Take the operating weight of your machine and add what you actually carry on it – bucket, forks, a full tank. A compact tractor with a loader and a ballast box gets heavy faster than people expect. That number needs to sit under the trailer GVWR with room to spare, and your truck payload and hitch rating have to agree. Bring the door-jamb sticker and we will work through it. If the load is tools and material as much as machinery, start from the contractor trailers page instead.
Galvanized on the lakeshore
Trailers within a few miles of Lake Michigan live a harder life than ones inland. Between road salt through the winter and damp air the rest of the year, a painted frame gives you a yearly ritual of grinding and touching up. Galvanizing costs more at purchase and removes that job for the life of the trailer, which is why BND galvanized decks sell well here.
What we stock in Holland
Sure-Trac equipment trailers, Diamond C heavy-duty decks and BND galvanized builds, from small scissor-lift trailers through 8.5 by 25 foot deckovers. If a machine is going on it, there is usually something on the lot rated for it.
Anything bought here can be serviced here. Bearings, brakes, wiring, lights and decking are handled in our own shop, on any make. See the service department or value your trade-in.
